Halo, the record-breaking Xbox series from Bungie and Microsoft, has gone far beyond mere video game franchise. The latest evidence of this is news that mobile publisher Infusio has just announced a three-year deal for worldwide wireless rights to the Halo brand.
Strangely enough, this agreement does not seem to encompass any mobile version of a Halo game. Rather, expect to see wallpapers, screensavers, and ringtones that pay homage to Master Chief and his quest. Look for the first content later this year. I'm hoping they'll make ringtones with David Cross' one-liners as an expendable soldier. Comedy gold, that.
